Experienced Legal Specialist
Min K. Chai, the principal of MKC Law Group, is a corporate business practitioner who represents both domestic, private and public companies and foreign-based companies seeking to establish a presence in the U.S.
With approximately 20 years of experience, both abroad and locally, Ms. Chai is experienced in handling a variety of domestic and cross border business transactions from the time you set up your business to the moment you sell or wind down your business. Her work includes entity selection and formation matters, corporate governance and structuring, contract negotiations and drafting, mergers and acquisitions, private offerings, strategic alliances, purchase and sale of on-going businesses and commercial properties, establishment of distributing and licensing arrangements, employment and consulting agreements, nondisclosure agreements, SEC reporting requirements and compliance, franchise registration and consultations, registration and maintenance of intellectual property rights, and other business transactions.
Ms. Chai practiced in Seoul, Korea as a foreign consultant from 2002 to 2005, representing and serving as corporate counsel to a wide range of U.S.-based companies seeing to establish a presence in Korea. Transactions included international business involving U.S. and Korean companies in various industries including auto, audio, semiconductor, financial, entertainment, telecommunications, and technology-based sectors, structuring manufacturing and supply agreements, distributorship agreements, and agency representative agreements for the food and beverage/spirit industries, clothing, furniture and shipping industries.
Additionally, Ms. Chai is experienced in advising U.S. companies on various aspects of operating their foreign-based subsidiaries overseas, including corporate governance, asset transfers, financing transactions, employment and labor law, lease review and negotiations, and contract negotiations.

Jackie Lin is a registered patent attorney and her practice focuses on corporate business and intellectual property matters. She specializes in trademark prosecution and handles all aspects of the federal trademark registration process, including application filing, statements of use, office action responses, and post-registration maintenance filings.
Prior to joining MKC Law Group, Ms. Lin practiced in Silicon Valley, representing individuals and companies in various industries seeking to protect and enforce their intellectual property rights, both in the U.S. and internationally.
Ms. Lin attended Santa Clara University School of Law where she pursued a concentrated course of study in technology law and spent a summer abroad studying international business and Japanese patent and copyright law in Tokyo, Japan. Ms. Lin also held leadership roles in various student organizations and worked as a certified law clerk at the Alexander Law Center and the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley where she provided pro bono advice and representation to under-represented individuals and families in consumer fraud and abuse cases, employment matters, and government-subsidized housing disputes.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Lin worked in academic medical research in the fields of pediatric diabetes, prostate cancer, and erectile dysfunction.
In her free time, Ms. Lin enjoys going to the beach and hiking with her two dogs.

PART TIME CONTRACT ATTORNEY
MKC Law Group, APC is seeking a remote Part-Time Contract Attorney with at least 5+ years of corporate and business transaction experience in California. The candidate must be able to prepare all the necessary incorporation and formation documents for domestic and foreign (out-of-state) corporations and limited liability companies, draft standard business contracts, including purchase and sale agreements, license agreements, buy-sell agreements, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements, stock incentive plans, subscription agreements, commercial and residential lease agreements, distribution and manufacturing agreements, sales representative agreements, franchise agreements, and other business transactional documents.

MKC Law Group, APC is seeking a Part-Time Legal Administrative Assistant with experience setting up business entities, drafting corporate documents and filing annual reports with the state and local agencies. Duties include performing general clerical tasks, answering calls, and assisting attorneys in all facets of the firm’s practice including corporate formation, franchise registration, intellectual property, employment, and other business transactional matters involving both international and domestic clients.
